I’ve spent my life in several creative arts—first as a professional dancer and actress, then as a photographer, and now as a writer.
Acting and dancing taught me rhythm in body and speech… and the mastery of a pause, a held breath. Photography taught me about the absence of space in a composition and something more: the extraordinary in the ordinary. These disciplines have shaped my writing.
I write fiction, short prose, and poetry. My work begins with ordinary life: what people notice, carry, lose, and what remains when easy explanations fall away. I used to photograph a leaf; today I write about it—its beauty and its story.
I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I still wake up curious.
